DOCUMENTARIES

POURQUOI PARKOUR

Produced in mid 08 in Melbourne this short documentary features footage from Australian Parkour Association classes with interviews and demonstrations by instructors involved in teaching in Melbourne.

UNSW DOCUMENTARY

Filmed in Sydney in early 08 this video features Australian Parkour Association NSW state representative and instructor Rhys James talking about different aspects of Parkour. Some action from classes in Sydney and demonstrations of movement by some of the instructors is also in this short piece.

60 MINUTES (PART 1 & 2)

Produced in mid 07, this is the most high profile piece of media coverage of Parkour in Australia since the discipline started being practiced here. It resulted in a huge rise in interest and participation with Australian Parkour Association classes in Sydney and Melbourne reaching attendances of around 100 students the following week, which at the time was unheard of and somewhat overwhelming.

Instructors from both Melbourne and Sydney worked very closely with the producers on the piece with a lot of interviews being done (none of which was shown), footage taken at a class, and the filming of the 'race' to the Sydney Opera House. Unfortunately, the piece did not turn out as we hade hoped and expected.

BELONG

This short documentary filmed in 07 features Sydney instructors Rhys, Ish and Djordje demonstrating some of their skills and talking about different aspects of Parkour and their lives.

NOISE TV

A short segment for Noise TV on Melbourne's Channel 31 filmed back in the very early days of the association. Australian Parkour Association president and instructor Chippa is the main focus of the piece with other instructors and APA members also involved in demonstrating some elements of Parkour.
